Gun Control 1. No one is sure what approach Obama may use to restrict guns because of the recent Supreme Court ruling that basically said that the right to own a gun is a personal right and that a state may not stop someone from owning a gun. The supreme court did leave open the question of regulation of guns.
2. So the possibility is that a state or the federal government could tax ammunition out of existence, check out the recent tax increases on tobacco products.
3. Governments may require an individual to purchase a very expensive insurance policy in order to own a gun.
4. A very possible route will be that Obama will negotiate some type of international treaty that will ban U.S. private ownership of weapons.
